Terms of Service

By using Theta ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Theta is an AI-powered assistant for recording trades, reviewing portfolios, running strategy helpers, and generating dashboards. It is a software tool to help you organize and analyze your own trading activity.

2. Not financial advice

Theta does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All outputs—including AI-generated content, summaries, and dashboards—are for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Trading stocks and options involves substantial risk of loss. You are solely responsible for your own decisions.

3. Bring Your Own Key

You supply your own third-party API keys (e.g. Google Gemini, Polygon.io). You are responsible for complying with those providers' terms and for any usage costs they charge. Your keys are stored encrypted and used only to provide the Service to you.

4. Google Sheets integration

Connecting Google Sheets is optional and uses a limited scope that only lets the Service manage spreadsheets it creates for you. You may disconnect at any time. Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's own terms.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Certain features of the Service (such as increased message and canvas quotas) require a paid subscription. All payments are processed securely via our third-party billing processor, Stripe.

• Auto-Renewal: Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and will automatically renew unless canceled.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Manage Plan dashboard in your settings page. Upon cancellation, your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.
• No Refunds: All payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as explicitly determined by us.
• Pricing Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any changes will be communicated to you with advance notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to access other users' data, or use it for unlawful purposes.

7. Availability & changes

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Theta and its operators are not liable for any trading losses or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
